Meet Kerri:

I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a wife, a friend, a mom of two kids, a daughter-in-law, and a pet owner. I enjoy reading, growing in my faith, connecting with friends, playing games, sports, crafts, and helping others.

I grew up in Indiana in the midst of a big family which I loved.  I went to Butler University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a music minor in 1996.

After graduating, I worked for twelve years with college students wanting to grow in their faith and relationships spiritually.  This journey took me to live all over the place with many transitions including Illinois, Florida, Oregon, New York City, Costa Rica, and France.

In 2008, I moved to Colorado and began a new journey with getting married, starting a family, and a new career in Social Work and counseling.

Where are you located?

All services are conducted virtually via a HIPAA secure platform.  I am licensed in the state of Colorado which means I can meet with anyone that resides in the state of Colorado.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I take the following insurances:  Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bright Health Plan, Centivo, Cigna, Foster Source, Justice Reskill Benefit Network, Lucent Health - Summit County Government Plan, Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Plan, Medicare Advantage plans with Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Humana, United Healthcare), United Healthcare, and TriWest.  ***I encourage all potential clients to confirm their plans and in-network benefits with their insurance provider as each plan has different coverage before we start therapy.

Do you take Medicaid?

I do not take Medicaid at this time.  If you are struggling with finding therapists that do, please contact me and I can give you some referrals.

What can I expect at our sessions?

The first session is really about getting to know you and what you would like to get out of therapy.  I will review initial paperwork with you, establish guidelines and norms for therapy sessions, and conduct an initial intake to help me get to know you, what you would like to change, and how we hope to reach your goals. On-going sessions will be 50-55 minutes long.  In the session, we typically review how things have gone in-between sessions, review and learn skills to reach treatment goals, and encouragement of things doing well.  Each person is different and we work together to see what works best for you.
